"SELFISHNESS- The Tape was recorded either Christmas night or the next night in 2006 in a little closet room attached to my Dad's garage. I was back home in Fort Worth, visiting from Nashville for the holidays and I just bought a little digital recorder at Best Buy that day (so it technically wasn't an actual tape). I think this music ended up being the only thing I recorded on it. And I was going to include a picture of the recorder as a bonus picture with the download but... well, I can't find it to take a picture of it.

Calling it 'The Tape' is a reference to a bunch of old tapes I used to make before I made c.d.s. The number of people who have or have heard those things is pretty low. I was trying to make something that would sound or feel similar to those old recordings. Like, back to the VERY basics. Musicians do stuff like that a lot."
