Jeff and Brian recorded this album one song per week during the early part of the recording session (December - March or so). In fact, about 30 songs were demoed for it. The songs were initially built all on computerized beats with the intention of sounding like "Spacey, Flaming Lipsish folk rock." The songs were written to resemble conversations you could have in a car on a long drive. There was a later recording session around August 2008 where Jeff sang and played guitar, Brian played bass and Shae Harden played Drums. The tracks that made it from that Saturday are 4, 5, and 8. Shae came in later to dub live drums into tracks 6 and 9.

note: there were about 5 songs left off with the intention to be released at a later time as a bonus e.p. of sorts. At the time of this writing (8/24/2010) that e.p. has not been released.

I (Jeff) would like to add that this record would ABSOLUTELY not sound as good as it does without the fine work of Brian Threlkeld and I am deeply thankful for the experience of getting to work so long and hard on these songs with him. To understand how much Brian added to the music just listen to any of my other c.d.s. It'll be obvious if your ears work correctly.
